We are proud to count so many of our medical pioneers among those at the forefront of international research and medical practice. Their efforts have contributed significantly to the well-being of our fellow citizens and our international neighbours.
"What I like most about being inducted into the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame is that it provides a permanent and public record of an important piece of medical science. In 20, or even 50 years from now when high school or university students visit the exhibit hall (online or in London), they will not care or remember so much the names of those on the plaques. What they will remember is that doctors and researchers blazed these trails of discovery, following paths never before taken, to determine outcomes that had previously defied understanding by all conventional approaches. They will be struck by the fact that these important discoveries were made in Canada."
