In partnership with Hamilton Health Sciences and McMaster University, we are delighted to host this year's Discovery Day in Health Sciences on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
Over 200 high school students and teachers from across the region will be on campus to explore careers in medicine and other sciences.
Event day volunteers are urgently needed to ensure another successful event. We welcome the involvement of McMaster students from any faculty/program.
High school students will attend a dynamic keynote lecture, participate in two interactive workshops of choice from a catalogue of options and join in discussion with a panel of academics/professionals from various related fields.
The hub of our day is the Ewart Angus Centre in the MUMC, with workshops taking place across campus. Help is needed with the following:
...setup and registration (7:15 - 9:15 am)
...walking students from 1A1 to their morning and/or afternoon workshop, remaining with them for the 1.5 hour duration and then returning them to 1A1 (9:30 - 11:30 am and/or 12:00 - 2:00 pm)
Light refreshments will be available for our registration volunteers and lunch is provided to all.
If interested in helping out, please complete the form below. For those who sign up to walk students to a workshop, you will have the opportunity to select your session of interest in the form. See our online catalogue for session details.
