CMHF Board Chair Dr. Lehana Thabane is excited to announce that following a detailed search, the CMHF Board of Directors has appointed Shannon Digby as Executive Director of the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame effective January 6, 2025.
Shannon has more than 18 years of experience in progressive roles building strategy and implementing change in the nonprofit healthcare and academic sectors, including most recently as the Associate Director, Donor Experience for the London Health Sciences Foundation.
With a proven track record of innovating and implementing new initiatives and with a high sense of accountability and resourcefulness, Shannon is an exceptional communicator and has extensive experience building relationships with partners, donors and stakeholders.
Shannon's track record as a fundraising professional is extensive and includes customized recognition plans for major and transformational gift donors, stewardship communications, project management and program evaluation in fast-paced and complex environments, and budget development and management. This is rounded out with substantial event planning, management and execution experience, including as an instructor in Event and Project Management at Western Continuing Studies.
Beyond her professional achievements, Shannon enjoys an active family life with her husband and two children. In the winter, she can often be found on the slopes skiing or at the rink cheering on her kids' hockey games. During the summer, she cherishes kayaking and relaxing at the family cottage.
We are thrilled to welcome Shannon to our incredible 'small but mighty' team at the CMHF and we look forward to her leadership helping the CMHF to flourish in the coming years. Shannon is eager to connect with everyone and looks forward to collaborating with the team to advance the CMHF mission.
