We recognize that diversity, equity and inclusion strengthen the health sciences, health systems and health care communities and leads to enhanced quality, social relevance and impact of health-related disciplines. Throughout all its activities, the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame strives to engage and promote the active participation of individuals of diverse backgrounds, including those from historically underrepresented groups. We actively seek a diverse pool of award nominations so that those honoured may reflect the diversity of our communities.

Position Description: The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame is looking for one new board member to join our board this Spring and help us develop or communications and marketing plans to create more awareness about the CMHF. To ensure the best possible national representation and decision-making environment, importance will be given to diversity in areas such as geographic location, health discipline, ethnicity, race, culture, gender, age and areas of expertise and experience.
Specifically, in this call we are seeking representation and experience in the following areas:
Regional: Any Province in Canada
Health area: Leaders from all academic and/or clinical health disciplines welcome
Skills and Experience: Leadership in communications, marketing or media in a health field
Time Commitment: Term Length: 3 years; May serve up to two terms | All board members are asked to serve on at least one standing committee
Board Meetings: Four times per year
- January (Virtual Meeting)
- April (Virtual Meeting)
- June (in person following the Induction Ceremony in rotating cities across the country)
- October (Virtual)
