Call for Board Members 2024 - 2027

The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame (CMHF) celebrates Canadian heroes whose work advances health in Canada and the world. We foster future generations of health professionals through the delivery of local and national youth education programs and awards. This enduring tribute to our country’s rich medical history is showcased on our virtual hall at www.cdnmedhall.ca and in an exhibit hall in London, ON. We recognize that diversity, equity and inclusion strengthen the health sciences, health systems and health care communities and leads to enhanced quality, social relevance and impact of health-related disciplines. Throughout all its activities, the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame strives to engage and promote the active participation of individuals of diverse backgrounds, including those from historically underrepresented groups. We actively seek a diverse pool of award nominations so that those honoured may reflect the diversity of our communities.

• Inspiring excellence in the health sciences, health, and health care for future generations

Position Description: The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame is seeking four (4) new board members to join our 16-person board in June. To ensure the best possible representation and decision-making environment, importance will be given to diversity in ethnicity, race and culture.

We welcome interest from all regions in the country, and all health disciplines with some emphasis as outlined:

Time Commitment:

Term Length: 3 years; May serve up to two terms.
Board Meetings: Four times per year (Finance and Executive Committees also meet once monthly):

• January (Virtual Meeting)
• April (in person following the Induction Ceremony in rotating cities across the country)
• June (virtual)
• October (rotating virtual and in-person - London)
